charming stay near gare du nord

convenient location main station friendly staff

i found the location convenient. it was so close to the main railway station, i could easily walk there (a real plus for early morning departures). the staff were also very helpful and friendly, they answered all my questions.

the lift situation was a bit tricky. it stopped between floors, so i had to carry my luggage up a few stairs.

Rooms

my double room was clean and surprisingly spacious, especially for a solo traveler, and the bed was really comfy (i slept like a log!). it was a great value for the price i paid.

Location

10/10

the location is excellent with easy access to transport links. i noticed many station lines such as gare du nord and gare de lest are only a few minutes away. several underground stations and bus stops are close by.

Service

the service was generally very good and prompt, and the staff seemed genuinely happy to assist. they provided quick responses to my inquiries, even late at night, which i appreciated very much.

Facilities

8/10

the hotel offers wifi throughout the hotel, reliable and fast. although simple, breakfast was a great way to start the day, especially when on a tight schedule.

sewer smell broken shower

The room reeked (i am not exaggerating) like a sewer the entire time. the walls were thin. I heard every noise from other rooms. the shower head was old and broken to the point of affecting water pressure. Showering was not a great experience.

good breakfast friendly staff food options

The location is near Gard du Nord. Plenty of food options exist nearby. The staff was friendly and helpful (i especially appreciated the quick check-in). Breakfast offered a good selection.
